Autograff Tint is a single-bay automotive atelier in North Hollywood. We finish one car at a time — by appointment, in a controlled room, by the technician you meet at the door.

We started Autograff because the city didn't have the kind of tint shop we'd trust with our own cars.
Most automotive finish shops are designed around volume. Three cars per bay per day. Films cut on the vehicle. Coatings rushed under fluorescent light. The work isn't bad — it's just hurried, and hurried work always shows up eventually as a lifted edge, a hazy reflection, a coating that beads for ten months and then doesn't.
We built Autograff the other way. One car per bay per day. Films plotted and cut off the vehicle. Coatings applied under graded light, after a multi-stage polish, with humidity regulated and dust filtered. The technician who takes your keys is the same technician who hands them back. Nothing is rotated through hands.
The bet, eight years in, is that the kind of owner who drives a Tesla Plaid, a Range Rover, a Porsche GT3 — or who simply doesn't want their new Camry beaten up before its second birthday — would rather wait a day for measured work than collect their car at five o'clock with seams they'll be staring at for the next ten years. So far, that bet has held.

1Is window tinting legal in California?
Yes — with limits. California permits tinting on rear and side windows; the windshield is restricted to a top eyebrow strip. Front side windows must allow at least 70% Visible Light Transmission. We install only to spec and provide compliance documentation with every job.
2How long does a ceramic coating last?
Our coatings are tiered. The 2-year package is for clients who refresh their car often. The 5-year is the standard professional system. The 10-year is a show-quality coat designed for collectors and daily-driven exotics. Lifespan assumes pH-neutral washes and no automated brush carwashes.
3What is paint protection film?
PPF is an optically-clear, self-healing thermoplastic urethane skin that bonds to your clear coat. It absorbs the rock chips, bug acid, road salt and key marks that would otherwise hit your paint. We offer both traditional cut-film PPF and seamless liquid-applied protection for complex geometries.
4Does PPF yellow over time?
Cheap PPF does. The films we install — manufactured by name-brand specialists — carry a 10-year warranty against yellowing, cracking and delamination. Backed by both the manufacturer and us.
5Do you offer mobile service?
No, by design. PPF and ceramic coating require a climate-controlled, dust-managed environment to cure correctly. We bring your car into our bay so the finish ages the way it should. Most jobs are completed in a single day or two.
6What warranty does Autograff offer?
Window film: lifetime warranty against bubbling, peeling, and colour change. PPF: 10-year manufacturer warranty. Ceramic coatings: tiered 2/5/10-year durability warranties. Every warranty is in writing.
